Manage Workspaces
Manage Workspaces is the one place to see every project you have opened, jump back into one, and clear out the ones you are done with.
Opening it
- File → Manage Workspaces
- File → Recent Workspaces lists your projects directly, most recent first — often all you need to switch.
- If the Agent Perspective has no workspace to work in yet, it offers an Open Directory button that does the same thing.
What the dialog shows
A list of your workspaces with three columns:
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Name | The project name — the folder's name by default |
| Directory | The full path to the folder |
| Last Opened | How long ago you opened it ("Just now", "3 hours ago", …) |
Two buttons:
- Open Directory — pick a folder and start using it as a workspace. Pick an existing project folder to resume it, or a new empty one to start fresh.
- Cancel — close the dialog.
If you have never opened a folder, the list is empty and says so: open a directory to create your first workspace.
Switching projects
To switch, pick the project from File → Recent Workspaces — this dialog lists and removes workspaces rather than opening them. The app focuses the folder's window if it is already open; otherwise it opens it and loads the most recently edited dashboard file inside.
Your conversations, saved approvals, and dashboard files all follow the workspace — switching projects switches all three at once.
Removing a workspace
Click Delete on a row and confirm. The message says it plainly: files on disk will not be deleted.
What is removed is the app's record of the project — it disappears from the recent list, along with its conversations, plans, and the Always Allow approvals saved for it. Your .dxf files stay exactly where they are, and you can point the app back at the folder at any time to pick the project up again (as a fresh set of conversations).
When a folder is missing
If a remembered workspace's folder has been moved, renamed, or is on a disk that is not plugged in, the app reports Directory Not Found with the path it tried, and offers to remove the stale entry. Move the folder back or plug the disk in and it works again; on the Mac App Store version you may be asked to re-grant access to the moved folder.
Housekeeping
File → Recent Workspaces → Clear Recent Workspaces empties the list without deleting anything on disk. Do this before selling or handing over a machine if the folder names themselves are sensitive.
